A surprise destination is a popular way of enhancing the excitement. We have taken excitement a step further and found that a fake destination is more unexpected. The group that ended up in Bornholm in Denmark instead of the Faeroe Islands (enroute to Iceland) was pretty stunned, especially after the captain admitting that he somehow had made a "minor navigational error". The cockpits are full of crews with a huge talent for acting, singing and generally making you positively confused.
